Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention to the present. When you are mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them as good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness allows you to live in the moment and experience the world around you fully.

The benefits of mindfulness include improved concentration, decreased stress and anxiety, and better sleep. Practicing mindfulness can be as simple as taking a few deep breaths and focusing on the present moment.

I got introduced to yoga and mindfulness when I moved to Canada. My journey began with the “Hot Box Yoga”, presently known as “Vnysa”, located at the heart of the UBC campus in Vancouver. I was a hip-hop dancer before embarking on my yoga journey. Soon enough, I fell in love with the practice and after a year of regular practice, I completed my 200 hours of teacher training at Semperviva International School of Yoga. Following that I completed additional 50 hours of “Yin” yoga teacher training with Bernie Clark. I am super creative with my sequences and you can expect an individualized service based on your body type. I consider all your health and physical history prior to offering any asana or meditation technique.
